Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The coordinator supervises staff and assists with maintaining food and supplies in order to provide quality food for patients, staff and visitors. They are responsible for coordinating the assembly and distribution of patient meals, supervising a retail cafeteria, ensuring proper sanitation and other procedures are in place.

Essential Functions:

  • Determines jointly with the Food Service Director, departmental objectives, organization, functions and employee development
  • Initiates and recommends short and long term plans, programs, policies and procedures to obtain objectives
  • Initiates, schedules and supervises operations of the food service department
  • Controls regular purchasing within dept, reviews all foods upon delivery and signs off on bills for approval
  • Reviews daily catering events and all special functions
  • Supervises preparation of foods and assembles tray line meals
  • Records all daily paperwork, taste and temperature logs, refrigerator logs, opening and closing check list, dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer and thermometer logs. Maintain on file for one year
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining a department that upholds to all Department of Health, CMS, NFS and The Joint Commission Standards
  • Trains, develops and supervises all Food Service Staff. Perform yearly appraisal of work performance standards and the attainment of expectations
  • Communicates and discusses with employees organizational and department policies and procedures and other actions affecting employees and their work. Communicates to the Food Service Managers any problems that may arise
  • Collects, counts and verifies all cash sales and provide change when needed to cashiers
