MAK Construction and @MAK Capital are looking for a Vice President of Development & Construction to join our leadership team in Grand Forks, ND and we're ready to move fast.
This is a high-impact senior leadership role reporting directly to the GM. You'll own day-to-day construction operations across multiple divisions, drive long-term company growth, and help shape where MAK Construction and MAK Capital are headed. If you're a builder who's ready to lead at scale, this is your seat at the table.
What you'll own:
Oversee all active projects across multiple divisions and sites making sure they are on schedule, on budget, and have high customer satisfaction
Lead job cost analysis and gross margin performance on every job
Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial controls
Supervise Project Managers, Superintendents,
Drive strategic planning for productivity, efficiency, and operational growth
Review and improve SOPs across all construction delivery activities
Ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices across all field staff
Own execution of quarterly, annual, and long-term company goals
Build and develop client relationships to grow the MAK portfolio
Direct ongoing use and improvement of Procore project management
What we're looking for:
Proven experience leading multi-division or multi-site construction operations
Strong financial acumen: you know job costing, budgeting, and margin management
Track record of building and developing high-performing field teams
Experience with project management tools (Procore a plus)
A skilled communicator across crews, clients, and leadership
Business development mindset: you think about growth, not just execution
Culture-first leader who leads by example and holds the bar high
