The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and operational insights across the business. In this role, you’ll analyze data, support forecasting and business planning, and deliver accurate reporting that helps guide strategic decisions across the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual business plans, including maintaining gross margin analyses (GMAs).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly fixed‑cost supplemental schedules.
  • Maintain various financial reporting tools, including Variable Contribution backlog reports, CPW reports, and SSCB reports.
  • Prepare weekly results and metrics for deliveries, sales, traffic, and starts.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned, such as cash deposits, receivables, and property tax bill processing.
  • Oversee joint venture (JV) financial responsibilities, including:
    • Maintaining monthly JV minutes
    • Updating JV variable contribution and cash flow forecasts
    • Assessing JV cash needs and managing loan draws
    • Tracking partnership balances
    • Reviewing JV partner expense reports
What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting; homebuilding industry experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities and build productive relationships.
  • A proactive, action‑oriented approach with a focus on completing tasks accurately and on time.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to understand and respond to internal stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team mindset, open to others’ ideas, and eager to support shared goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Requirements

  • Must work 8-hour days (during core business hours) with flexibility for overtime when necessary
  • Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.

  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel as needed to tour KB Home communities.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).

Compensation Details And Benefits

KB Home offers a competitive base pay. The expected range for this position is based on experience and is noted below, paid semi-monthly. 

Other rewards may include bonuses or role-specific awards.

KB Home provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick time and vacation.

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
