This is for full time, Peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: Workers will assist production workers by performing support tasks that require limited skill and are carried out under close supervision. Duties include supplying or holding materials, retrieving tools, moving components to the work area, and cleaning the work area and equipment. Workers will assist with general production work related to assembling truss and wall panels. Tasks include helping hand-load lumber onto framing tables, positioning materials for production workers, and providing support while workers use tools such as hammers, pneumatic nail guns, grills, screws, glue, and other basic hand tools to fasten lumber together to create the finished truss and wall panel product. Workers do not independently assemble full products for shipping using standard non-powered methods (e.g. hand carts or team lifting). Additional tasks include helping identifying damaged or defective materials and recording simple production data as directed. All tasks are routine, repetitive, and performed to support skilled production employees in meeting company specifications. Special Requirements: Three (3) months of production or related experience required. Must be able to lift seventy-five (75) lbs. frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to pass employer-paid pre-employment, post-accident, and/or other random drug testing. $21.08 up to $23.58 per hour with overtime available at $31.62 up to $35.37 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week with varying shifts: 1st shift: Mon-Thurs - 5:00AM to 3:30PM (w/ 30 min lunch), 2nd shift Mon-Wed 4:00PM to 4:30AM and Thurs 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (w/ 30 min lunches), Monday-Thursday. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 100 Zephyr Avenue, Montrose, MN 55363 (Wright County) within the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites at no cost. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. The employer provides housing to the workers at a weekly payroll deduction of $85.00. Housing is optional. Workers may be held financially liable for any willful or negligent damage to company equipment, property, or provided housing. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
