Job Description

Lead Plumber to join one of our clients in Jacksonville, Florida. In this leadership role, you will oversee and perform the installation, assembly, repair, and maintenance of piping systems for heating, water, and drainage applications, including marine and dock environments.

This position requires a dependable professional who can manage crews, travel to multiple job sites, and work confidently in and over water. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, may be subject to a background check, and must possess a valid driver’s license. Reliability and adherence to work schedules are essential.

Lead Plumber Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Plumbing Lead is responsible for both hands-on installation work and team leadership. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Review building plans, blueprints, and working drawings to determine installation methods and sequencing

  • Inspect structures to identify obstructions and ensure installations do not compromise structural integrity

  • Layout, mark, and install piping and penetrations in floating docks, walls, and floors

  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate piping and fittings

  • Cut, thread, bend, and install pipe using mechanical and manual methods

  • Fuse HDPE pipe and install PEX piping systems

  • Assemble and install valves, fittings, and piping made from metal and non-metal materials

  • Join piping using screws, bolts, soldering, plastic solvents, fusion welding, and caulking methods

  • Pressure test piping systems using water or air to identify leaks

  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems including:- Sinks, toilets, bathtubs

    • Water heaters and hot water tanks
    • Garbage disposals and dishwashers
    • Sewer pump-out systems
    • Marine pedestals and water softeners
  • Perform plumbing maintenance, including repairing leaks, replacing washers, fixing burst pipes, and clearing drains

  • Weld fixtures to steel structural members when required

  • Manage and lead project crews to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule

  • Install and repair dock components under direction of the Project Manager

Lead Plumber Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One to three years of relevant plumbing experience and/or training

Licenses & Certifications:
