Microbiologist for an onsite role in Berkeley, CA. This high-impact, 6-month contract offers exceptional training, long-term extension, and conversion potential up to a year and beyond. Joining a deeply collaborative, long-standing team of analysts, you will play a vital role in executing hands-on microbiological assays to ensure critical clinical and commercial products meet release timelines.

responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on microbiological assays and tests on in-process, clinical, and development samples.
- Conduct growth promotion testing and support method verifications for clinical and commercial products.
- Ensure all laboratory activities strictly comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP regulations, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, cleanliness, and orderliness within the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate flexibly within a 5-7 analyst team to manage workflow surges and meet tight product timelines.
qualifications:
Required: - Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field.
- 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience within a pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with aseptic techniques and working in a regulated GMP environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment, including occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
Preferred: - Prior knowledge of compendial requirements.
