Job Overview:
Provides accurate, timely, and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. The qualified CLS/MT/MLS candidate will be competent in all aspects of general chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology. Quality control management and Laboratory IT experience helpful. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with CLS or MT (ASCP) registry, minimum 2 years laboratory experience as an MT/CLS. Works in a fast paced laboratory. Position is 40 hours per week plus on-call and callback.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science or in the chemical or biological sciences. Must satisfy the education requirements of the applicable certifying agency: ASCP or NCA. MT/MLS (ASCP) or CLS certification from ASCP or NCA required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Organization skills and customer relations are preferred. Clear and concise verbal and written communication to communicate with staff and the public is a must.

Must be able to pass a State of Alaska background check and drug screen (including Marijuana).
