Job Description

Digital Marketing & Content Specialist – In-House | Legal Industry

Overland Park, KS | Primarily In-Office with Occasional Remote Flexibility

Full-Time | $55,000-$75,000 (DOE)

⚠PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

This is NOT a freelance, contract, or agency role. We are looking for a dedicated, full-time in-house team member who will be physically present in our Overland Park office, embedded in the day-to-day operations of the firm. If you're looking for a client account to manage from a distance — this isn't the right fit. If you want to own a marketing operation from the inside and see your work drive real results in real time — keep reading.

─────────────────────────────

ABOUT THE ROLE

─────────────────────────────

We are a growing law firm seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to join our team full-time. You'll sit inside the business — working alongside our attorneys and leadership — giving you direct, real-time visibility into what the firm needs and the ability to act on it immediately.

This role is for someone who thrives on being in the room, spotting opportunities, and adjusting campaigns, content, and strategy on the fly — not someone who sends monthly reports from the outside. You'll know our clients, understand our practice areas, and be close enough to the business to make smart marketing decisions without waiting for a briefing.

You will report directly to our COO in weekly performance and strategy meetings.

Note: All content and advertising must comply with Kansas and Missouri State Bar advertising rules and ethical guidelines.

─────────────────────────────

WHAT YOU'LL DO

─────────────────────────────

Paid Advertising & Lead Generation

  • Launch and manage Google Local Service Ads (LSAs) and PPC campaigns for a given campaign area.
  • Make real-time adjustments to campaigns based on live performance data
  • Build and optimize ClickFunnels strategies to turn clicks into consultations
  • Monitor cost-per-lead metrics and pivot quickly when something isn’t working
  • Support marketing rollout for new practice areas as the firm grows

Call Tracking & Quality Review

  • Use CallRail to monitor, review, and score inbound calls
  • Identify patterns in call quality and use those insights to sharpen campaigns immediately. Use call rail to report backs to LSA/PPC for reimbursements.
  • Flag issues and opportunities to leadership in real time, not just on a reporting cycle

SEO & Online Visibility

  • Manage on-page and local SEO to improve search rankings for our practice areas
  • Keep Google Business Profile and online listings current and optimized, respond to google reviews.

Video & YouTube Management

  • Edit, organize, and publish video content to our YouTube channel (video filming and editing is a plus).
  • Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for search and engagement
  • Manage and grow our YouTube channel with consistent, bar-compliant content
  • Repurpose existing video content across social platforms for maximum reach.
  • Launch and create content for Avatars to be launched on Both Facebook or YouTube.

Social Media Management

  • Own our presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Build and execute a content calendar that reflects what’s happening in the firm
  • Respond to comments and messages promptly and professionally
  • Pivot content strategy quickly based on what’s resonating and what’s not

─────────────────────────────

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

─────────────────────────────

Must-Have:

  • Hands-on Google Ads / PPC experience — you manage campaigns yourself, not through a team
  • Experience with ClickFunnels or similar funnel-building platforms
  • Proficiency with CallRail or comparable call tracking tools
  • Video editing and publishing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
  • YouTube channel management and Facebook optimization experience
  • Proven social media management across multiple platforms
  • Ability to work independently, make quick decisions, and take ownership without hand-holding
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting on the fly
  • Willingness to learn KS and MO Bar advertising compliance standards

Nice to Have:

  • SEO experience (local and on-page)
  • Prior experience marketing for a law firm or other regulated industry
  • Google Analytics / Search Console experience

This Role Is NOT For You If:

  • You prefer managing clients remotely with periodic check-ins
  • You’re used to agency workflows with multiple layers of approval
  • You want to hand off execution to a team rather than do it yourself

─────────────────────────────

WHAT WE OFFER

─────────────────────────────

  • $65,000 - $75,000 salary based on experience and full skill set
  • Higher compensation for candidates who bring the complete package
  • In-office position in Overland Park with occasional remote flexibility
  • A seat at the table — your input on firm growth is genuinely valued
  • Weekly strategy sessions directly with the COO
  • Opportunity to build and own the marketing function from the ground up
  • Stable, full-time employment with a growing firm

─────────────────────────────

HOW TO APPLY

─────────────────────────────

Send your resume along with:

  • A brief note on a campaign or piece of content you personally built and managed
  • Links to social accounts, YouTube channels, or video samples you’ve worked on
  • Any campaign results or portfolio samples that show your hands-on work
