Job Description

Salary: $71,000 - 111,000 per year Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage QA/QC, or data center infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of fiber cabling, particularly MPO breakout types, and Cat6 standards
• Familiarity with ANSI/TIA-568 labeling practices and specific labeling conventions for projects
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of documenting issues clearly and collaborating with field teams
• High level of attention to detail with a focus on documentation accuracy
• Proficient in reading and interpreting rack elevations, patch schedules, and cable matrices

• Conduct inspections of fiber and Cat6 cables to verify correct labeling format, placement, and durability
• Ensure that MPO breakout labels correspond accurately with documented patch schedules and polarity configurations
• Confirm that Cat6 copper terminations are labeled and installed according to floor plans and port maps
• Maintain organization by ensuring cables are bundled consistently and comply with bend-radius and pathway guidelines
• Check routing paths to guarantee proper separation of fiber and copper, utilizing Velcro without over-tightening, and logical grouping by destination or rack
• Complete quality assurance and quality control checklists, documenting any discrepancies and required corrective actions
• Capture clear photographs of non-compliant work and provide before and after records when issues are rectified
• Keep logs of inspected areas, bundle groups, and cable types for project stakeholder handoff
• Collaborate directly with cabling technicians and leads to provide immediate feedback on issues
• Escalate recurring errors, labeling inconsistencies, or deviations from project documentation
• Engage in team huddles or walk-throughs to communicate QC expectations and outcomes
