Job Description

Black Bear Talent is recruiting for a Cabinet Assembler for our client in Harrisonburg, VA. The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for assembling cabinets and cabinet components in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on reading basic drawings, assembling parts accurately, installing hardware, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

This position is a full time temp-to-hire position with a schedule of Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, Overtime as required. $15.50 per hour starting pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets and cabinet components using provided drawings or instructions
• Operate basic woodworking equipment and hand tools safely
• Install cabinet hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, and pulls
• Measure, cut, sand, and adjust components as needed for proper fit
• Inspect assembled cabinets for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow company safety policies and production procedures
• Communicate with supervisors regarding work progress or issues
• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in cabinet assembly, millwork, or woodworking (preferred but not required)
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Experience using common woodworking tools such as saws, sanders, drills, and routers
• Basic understanding of cabinet construction and assembly methods
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
• Good attendance record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Use of power tools and machinery with appropriate safety equipment
